February 17, 2015, Philadelphia, PA….The  World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) has selected the award recipients for the 2015 Member (s) of the Year. Each year the WTCGP recognizes two member companies (one each in Pennsylvania and South Jersey), whose global achievement has contributed to the economic growth and prosperity of the Greater Philadelphia region. 

Lasko wins the award for Pennsylvania and F.W. Winter Inc. & Co. wins for New Jersey. 

F.W. Winter Inc. & Co. has been successful in the manufacture of metal and alloy powders, marketing to the global welding and hard-faced plates industries, including markets such as, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, South Korea, Ukraine, and Venezuela. 

 Lasko has been successful in positioning its global strategy as a fundamental part of its overall corporate strategy and has grown its exports in markets such as Australia, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore,

 The awards will be given to Lasko and F.W. Winter & Co. during a ceremony on May 7, 2015 at the 13th Annual World Trade Centers Day Awards and Celebration. Also, earlier this year, the award recipient for the Global Business Leadership Award was announced and it will be awarded to Phil Rinaldi, CEO, Philadelphia Energy Solutions, Inc.

 The Global Business Leadership Award is given annually to individuals, in recognition of their global vision and contribution to regional economic growth and jobs through global trade.

 Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the United Nations, in cooperation with the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) chartered a day to be recognized around the world as “World Trade Centers Day.”  Every World Trade Center creates its own signature event with the common goal of celebrating peace and prosperity through global trade. The WTCGP organizes an Awards Ceremony and Celebration to recognize the global business achievement of outstanding individuals and companies in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
