Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives

In 2009, Linda Mysliwy Conlin became President of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and one of over 300 world trade centers around the globe. She brought to the position over 35 years of international trade, trade finance, and public policy experience. In January 2023, Linda stepped down from her leadership position, transitioning to the role of Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives. In this capacity, Linda oversees WTCGP’s key initiatives, including the “Selling to the World” program to increase small business growth and expand global opportunities for minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) through exporting. The program advances the WTCGP’s diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities and is guided by a twenty-one-member Global Diversity Advisory Council of corporate and public sector experts dedicated to supplier diversity.
While serving as President, Linda and her team of experienced professionals helped small business exporters and institutions in the Greater Philadelphia Region grow export sales by over $2B, supporting thousands of jobs and advancing the WTCGP’s core mission of “bringing growth and prosperity to businesses, communities, and neighborhoods in Greater Philadelphia through global trade and investment.” Through her leadership, the WTCGP has become recognized as a global thought leader in the Region, expanding the WTCGP’s trademark Annual Global Business Conference and introducing new programs including its signature Global Finance Program.
Linda also has been instrumental in advancing Greater Philadelphia as a global business destination, participating in the Brookings Institution/JP Morgan Chase Global Cities Initiative where the WTCGP partnered with the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and other organizations to create the Greater Philadelphia Export Plan, the region’s first comprehensive strategy to expand exports in the region. Linda spearheaded the WTCGP’s development efforts, raising over $3.8M in new public and private sector support.
Prior to joining the WTCGP, Linda served as a member of the Board of Directors and Vice Chair and
First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im). At Ex-Im, Linda’s executive leadership helped to expand financing to U.S. exporters, including small and medium-sized businesses, predominantly in emerging markets.
Linda’s international career also includes serving as Assistant Secretary for Trade Development with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she managed a $67 million budget and over 370 U.S. industry experts. From 1994 to 1999, Linda worked as Executive Director in New Jersey’s Commerce and Economic Growth Commission. She has also held positions at the U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Information Agency. Linda currently serves on the board of Temple University’s Center for Business Education and Research (CIBER) and is an appointed member of the Mid-Atlantic District Export Council. She also serves in a leadership capacity with the World Trade Centers Association as an appointed member of its North America Region Advisory Council.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Russian studies, Linda began her earlier career owning and operating a successful small family business in Western Massachusetts.
