Business in the Ports of Philadelphia is on the rise on all fronts. That's the key message heard by two hundred twenty-five people at the WTCGP's 3rd Annual State of the Port luncheon on October 15 at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing

After introductions by Joanna Savvides, President, and Manuel Stamatakis, Chairman of the Board of the WTCGP, the four key entities that manage the port of Philadelphia gave an invaluable overview of business development activities.

WTCGP Companies Meet with Pennsylvania Overseas Trade Reps
Making overseas contacts is a vital part of expanding your business internationally. To that end, the WTCGP brought together more than 60 local companies with the Pennsylvania Overseas Representatives from 9 countries in more than 125 face-to-face meetings over a three-day period in September.

World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia Receives Certification at Geneva Assembly
The WTCGP received official certification form the World Trade Center Association at the WTCA's 35th General Assembly Meeting in Geneva, held October 3 - 6, 2004.

Guy Tozzoli to Speak at WTCGP Anniversary Reception
Guy Tozzoli, the founding president of the World Trade Centers Association and person responsible for the construction of the WTC twin towers in New York City, will speak on November 8, 2004 at The Pyramid Club in Philadelphia.

Mr. Tozzoli was recently nominated, for the third time, for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Three Experts Highlight China Seminar with Advice on New Markets



The WTCGP presented a seminar entitled "Changing China: Meeting the Challenge" led by Paul Swenson, PA Overseas Representative for China, on September 28, 2004. The event was hosted by the Chester County International Business Council (737 Constitution Drive, Exton, PA). Carolyn Choh-Fleming, Professor of Marketing at St. Joseph's University, and Elliott Smith, Sales Manager for Kintetsu World Express, Inc. also gave presentations.
