Pennsylvania Authorized Trade Representatives Visit Greater Philadelphia
WTCGP clients meet with thePA ATR from Australia/New Zealand

Over the last three months, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia has hosted PA Authorized Trade Representatives (ATRs) from 19 different countries. Each event featured country briefings by the ATRs, focusing on specific emerging industries, followed by one-on-one meetings with qualified export ready companies.
On March 27th, the WTCGP, in cooperation with the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) in Exton, PA, hosted PA ATRs from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China-Shanghai, Eastern Mediterranean, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. These eight ATRs provided briefings that focused on mining, rail, oil and gas, renewable energy, life sciences and medical, and environmental technologies.
On April 22nd, the WTCGP welcomed ATRs from China-Beijing, Russia, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates at Daroff Design, located in Center City Philadelphia. These ATRs highlighted the following sectors in their presentations: architecture/design/engineering, construction machinery, construction materials, manufactured housing, green building, and lumber.
The final visit took place on May 20th at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Plymouth Meeting, PA with ATRs from Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, and United Kingdom. They offered briefings in industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace/defense, plastics/resins, and powdered metals in their respective countries.
Covering a wide range of industry sectors, the ATRs work with Pennsylvania companies to provide them with resources and assistance in determining best export opportunities in their respective international markets. The WTCGP will host all 23 PA ATRs again on September 16 and 17, 2009 as part of Pennsylvania International Week. The ATRs will be available for one-on-one meetings with qualified companies, subject to appointment availability.
