Trade Tactics Mentoring Program Returns in 2009
The WTCGP is pleased to announce the return of its Trade Tactics Mentoring Program! Trade Tactics is a unique program developed both for businesses new to exporting and for more experienced companies expanding into new overseas markets. The program is structured to help these companies learn from knowledgeable WTCGP members or other supporters, and to introduce them to the extensive network of support that exists for exporters in the Greater Philadelphia area. Each meeting begins with an overview of the day’s “trade tactic” and is followed by one-on-one mentoring sessions with experts that can discuss specific international business issues.
On April 16, the WTCGP will host “Developing an Export Strategy”, the first of three Trade Tactics Mentoring Programs in 2009. Attendees will hear from Paul Markert, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Metal Edge International, Inc., as he discusses key factors in developing an export strategy. This program will be followed by “Developing your Distribution Network” (July 16, 2009) and “Freight Forwarding” (October 15, 2009). All Trade Tactic meetings are held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the 3rd Floor Conference Room of Two Penn Center (1500 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia).
This year there is a special offer! Companies who register in advance for all three Trade Tactics meetings will receive a complimentary copy of Dictionary of International Trade: Handbook of the Global Trade Community, a comprehensive guide to international trade that includes basic terminology, trade assistance, and guidance.
To register for any of these programs, or for more information, please contact Jessica Lepson at (215) 586-4240 ext. 118 or jlepson@wtcphila.org.
