Honorees of the 2009 World Trade Centers Day Dinner Announced

The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) is excited to announce this year’s World Trade Centers Day Dinner honorees.  The award recipients will be recognized on May 13th, 2009 at the Union League.  This annual event celebrates the contributions of World Trade Centers around the globe, as well as the key role the WTCGP plays in the economic growth of the Greater Philadelphia region.

This year we honor Rosemary Turner, vice president and chief operating officer, Metro Philadelphia Division of United Parcel Service (UPS).  The WTCGP is proud to recognize Ms. Turner's contributions to the expansion of commerce and development of global partnerships in the Greater Philadelphia region with this year's Global Business Leadership Award.

We are also pleased to recognize our member companies of 2009:  LCR Electronics, Inc. in Pennsylvania and Holt Logistics in New Jersey.

For over 30 years, LCR Electronics has been a major player in the international electronics market.  Located in Norristown, the company specializes in the design, development and manufacturing of custom and standard EMI filters, motor controls and electronic controls for customers in multiple industries around the globe.  A member of the WTCGP CEO’s China Operations Club, LCR Electronics, has an active manufacturing facility in Kunshan, China.  The company plays a significant role in bringing U.S. exported electronic products into compliance with national and international standards, and in doing so has greatly contributed to the region’s international trade growth.

For over 70 years Holt Logistics has helped drive the region’s international trade growth, by managing one of the country’s most efficient port, warehouse and logistics facilities. With locations in Philadelphia and Gloucester City, NJ, Holt Logistics is known worldwide for its fast, reliable and efficient logistical solutions for both domestic and international import and export needs.  Through the company’s truck and rail transportation, marine terminal services, warehousing and logistics management, Holt Logistics plays a vital role in the economic expansion of the Greater Philadelphia Region.

We invite all our members, friends and counterparts to celebrate the contribution of these outstanding honorees to the economic development of the Greater Philadelphia region.
