The newest program being implemented with a grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development is a regional focus on trading in Latin America. To prepare for the program, Jean Marie Marchetto, Director of Business Development, accompanied 4 companies from our region on a trade mission to Brazil and Chile prepared by the Pennsylvania Office of International Business Development in October.

The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has recently extended its global outreach with the hiring of a new Pennsylvania Overseas Contractor for Taiwan. Now WTCGP members and clients located in Pennsylvania have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of PA Authorized Trade Representatives working in 18 (!) overseas offices around the globe.

When the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia adopted the logo “It’s a big world out there… Prosper in it!” we could only imagine how far our members and clients would go with our help. Some of our companies expanded their business horizon as far as the land of the Kiwis. Although the Kiwi is an endangered flightless native bird, the name has also been adopted by New Zealanders when referring to themselves and their culture.
