Jim Papada of Technitrol Helps CEO's of the China Operations Club Mark the Chinese New Year

As China increases as an economic powerhouse, both in manufacturing and as a consumer society, companies must react.  Mr. Papada spoke about Technitrol’s history in China, their current operations and philosophy, and the current issues in manufacturing.  Mr. Papada's topics included local competition and trends, the importance of "guanxi"or relationship building, and the social and ethical issues with which companies are faced.

Mr. Papada also provided advice to the participating companies on critical operational issues such as dealing with local employees and cross-cultural training of employees on both sides of the Pacific.  He shared Technitrol's experiences with moving thousands of products through customs, and dealing with tax and day-to-day finance issues.

The luncheon and presentation helped to kick-start the "Year of the Wood Rooster" for the participating companies.  If your company is interested in learning more about the CEO's China Operations Club, please call 856-968-2057.
