2nd Annual Global Business Strategic Outlook
Conference: February 17-18, 2005

Conference description continued...

Following each of the presentations on February 17th, there will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion.  Our luncheon guest speaker will be Dr. Victoria Marklew, Senior International Economist with Northern Trust.  Later in the afternoon, Judi Wetsell, Director of Global Procurement with Wal*Mart will speak on "Bringing America to the Wal*Mart World."  Following Ms. Wetsell's presentation, panelists representing three different companies - including the Campbell Soup Company - will address “Speaking From Experience: the Companies’ Perspective.”

On Friday, February 18th, a select number of companies will be granted the unique opportunity for a one-on-one business appointment with a Wal*Mart Global Procurement Specialist.  Potential suppliers will have to fill out a profile form and will be pre-screened. Best prospects for Wal*Mart Global Procurement are companies with a line of exportable products rather than a single item.  Companies should be able to meet the price sensitivity of international markets.  Countries targeted are: Mexico, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, Germany, Argentina, Korea and China.  There are only a few appointments still available and they will only be granted to companies registered for the conference. Priority will also be given to WTCGP members.
