On reading this headline, many of you may think that the WTCGP WorldLinks editorial staff has made an obvious spelling error. Those who don’t think so are most likely to have attended our seminar “Innovative International Food Marketing” on August 17, 2006 at the Campbell Soup Company. “Glocal” was the key concept introduced by Bobby Agarwal of the Hershey Company in his presentation. As a business manager in the international marketing department of such a huge multinational company as Hershey, Mr. Agarwal shared a successful strategy of how by “thinking globally” companies can “win locally” in diverse international markets.

On August 23rd, the WTCGP held its seminar, “Mission Possible – Mapping Out Your Success,” which is part of the Breakfast Around the Region series, sponsored by Sovereign Bank. The issues discussed included benefits of trade missions and ways to make them cost effective for any business. After a short introduction given by Joanna Savvides, attendees had an opportunity to choose between two break-out sessions according to their targeted markets.

For many of us, fall is a closure to many things … summer is over, days are getting shorter, hardly any vacation left. For students, however, this time of year is an onset of new beginnings.
