The U.S. Census Bureau in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis recently published data on U.S. international trade in goods and services for March 2006. According to the report, released May 12, 2006, exports of nearly $114.70 billion and imports of $176.66 billion resulted in a goods and services deficit of $62.00 billion, which is $3.64 billion less than in February 2006.

On April 28, 2006, the WTCGP’s Pennsylvania members, clients and partners interested in exploring new business opportunities in Latin America literally had to be in two places at once. First, the WTCGP’s Latin America Trade Development Program (LATDP) held an exciting and informative round-table discussion on “Setting Expectations for Doing Business in Latin America.” Second, the issues of doing business in this region, namely in Chile & Brazil, were also in the center of attention at the one-on-one meetings with Pennsylvania Overseas Contractors.

Recently, the WTCGP was proud to have two events for the foreign students participating in the American Business Practices for International Students (ABPIS) Program. On April 5, they visited the corporate office and main plant of WTCGP client, Genesis Machinery Products (GMP) in Exton, PA. Two weeks later, our students enjoyed a unique opportunity to network with WTCGP members and supporters at a reception graciously hosted & sponsored by one of our most ardent supporters (and Ambassador member) -- Pennoni Associates Inc.
