NEW WTCGP PROGRAM FOCUSES ON EMERGING MARKETS
Trade with Emerging Eastern European Market Program focuses on the developing economies of Eastern Europe, with particular attention to countries newly admitted and those awaiting admission to the European Union. The newly expanded Europe will become the world’s largest trading bloc with a population exceeding 450 million, more than the US, Canada and Mexico combined. As of July, U.S. exports to the European Union in 2006 equaled $15.9 billion.
Continuing with our mission of providing a world-class portfolio of services that stimulates international trade growth and leads the Greater Philadelphia region to economic prosperity, the WTCGP will support companies in the European emerging
markets program through market research, education and training, trade missions and trade shows, and follow-up. Beginning October 22, 2006, the WTCGP will lead the first trade mission for this program to Belgrade, Serbia; Bucharest, Romania; and Budapest, Hungary. With the WTCGP’s support, companies in the five-county Greater Philadelphia region will be better equipped to develop their export potential in Eastern Europe, in turn accelerating the economic growth in the Greater Philadelphia region.
If your company, located in the five-county Philadelphia region, is seeking new business opportunities in emerging Eastern European markets and would like to be considered for the WTCGP Emerging Markets Program, please contact Jean Marie Marchetto.
