The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) reached an important milestone when it held its Fifth Annual World Trade Centers Day Dinner on June 7, 2007. More than 270 WTCGP members and partners, clients and sponsors gathered in the historic Union League in Center City Philadelphia to show their support for the WTCGP and 2007 WTC Day Dinner honorees.
The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) was established in 1970 to facilitate international trade by bringing together exporters, importers and service providers. Since receiving its license from the WTCA in 2002, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) has quickly distinguished itself as one of the association’s most active members. In several instances over the past year alone, the WTCGP has cooperated closely with World Trade Centers in Latin America, Europe and Asia. This global reciprocity has enabled the WTCPG to provide its members and clients with the highest level of trade services and direct access to a powerful network of international trading partners and resources.

PA Companies Explore Opportunities in China and Mexico
The first week in June turned out to be a very busy period for the WTCGP. In addition to the WTC Day Dinner on June 7, the WTCGP organized one-on-one meetings for two Pennsylvania Authorized Trade Representatives (PA ATRs) on June 4 and June 8. Sixteen Pennsylvania companies met with Steven Zou, PA ATR from China, Beijing, and Efren Flores, PA ATR from Mexico. The meetings were held at the WTCGP Conference Center with companies from many diverse industry sectors, including IT, electronics, recreation, chemical, publishing, agriculture, health, and food processing. The meetings were very productive with both PA Reps providing detailed advice and counseling to the companies.
