Six Pennsylvania Authorized Trade Representatives Visit the Region

May 10, 2007 (Montgomery County) . Tom Beyer (PA ATR - Germany), Nanako Kinoshita (PA ATR - Japan), Ken Yang (PA ATR - Korea), and Martin Lewis (PA ATR - United Kingdom) participated in the WTCGP seminar “Global Business Opportunities in Technology and Life Sciences” hosted by the Montgomery County Industrial Development Corporation at the Plymouth Country Club. The Pennsylvania Authorized Trade Representatives provided an overview
of opportunities for Pennsylvania companies in their respective regions; and
addressed such issues as market entry strategies, finding partners and customers, and intellectual property rights protection. After the presentations and questions-and-answers session, PA ATRs held 35 one-on-one meetings with area companies representing the following industries: Electronics, Hi Tech, Steel, Medical Equipment, Recreation, Building Materials, Publishing, Energy, Aviation, and Chemical.
May 17, 2007 (Bucks and Montgomery Counties). Sarath Menon, the Pennsylvania Authorized Representative for Southeast Asia, visited plants and facilities of four local companies: a manufacturer of level and analytical measurement solutions;
a manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients and medical gas equipment;
a provider of interactive patient outreach solutions, and a
corrosion engineering and cathodic protection company. Accompanied by the WTCGP international trade specialists Ron Drozd and Dale Foote, Mr. Menon met with the companies' management officials and provided export counseling.
May 23, 2007 (Philadelphia County) . The WTCGP hosted one-on-one meetings with Jim Curtis, the Pennsylvania Authorized Representative from Shanghai, China. Mr. Curtis together with WTCGP trade specialists offered advice to ten Pennsylvania companies interested in exporting their products to China. Meetings' participants represented such diverse sectors as IT Software, Maintenance, Industrial Equipment, Chemical, Medical, Steel, Architecture, Legal, and Robotics.
