WTCGP Internship Program Staffed for Summer 2007

Walter Sytnik is entering his senior year at Boston University’s School of Management, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. Growing up in Voorhees, NJ, he is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys playing basketball, football, and weight training in his spare time. Walter was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and came to the U.S. with his family after the collapse of the Soviet Union. He wants to continue expanding his globally oriented business interests, so he embraced the opportunity to work with the WTCGP staff. “Business tactics are constantly evolving,” says Walter, “and understanding the global economy is vital to any businessperson’s success. The WTCGP staff is very knowledgeable and there is a lot to gain from inquiring about their past experiences and assisting them with future ones.”

Margot Grant has recently joined the World Trade Center team from Bucknell University where she just completed her junior year. With a major in International Relations and minors in Spanish and Environmental Studies, Margot still finds time to be very involved on campus. During the school year, she works at Bucknell’s Office of Admissions, where she conducts perspective student interviews as well as other administrative office work. Also, as an intern at the Union County United Way, Margot coordinated the 5th Annual “Day of Caring” event. This service project encompassed over 150 volunteers and 14 different non-profit agencies. In addition, Margot has also found time to reside as President of her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. Margot is originally from Tacoma, Washington where she lived much of her life before moving to Pennsylvania. She feels very fortunate to have had opportunities to travel throughout the world - even living for a year with her father in Jakarta, Indonesia. “It was my experience in Jakarta which made me really interested in international affairs. As an intern at the WTCGP I am looking forward to gaining first hand knowledge of world trade and international business.” After graduation Margot plans to move abroad again in hopes of pursuing a career in economic development.

Continuing our tradition of offering students a unique educational and professional experience, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia announces its Fall 2007 intern recruitment. If you are an innovative and self-motivated student, who is looking for opportunities to get a big edge in the job market and network with local business and government leaders, the WTCGP internship program may be right for you.
