WTCGP Staff News
Jake Massincaud, who started his internship at the WTCGP in May 2008, is a senior at Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) majoring in business administration. Previously, he earned a degree from the Academy of Clermont-Ferrand, France in accounting and business management. For the past two years, he has been working part time with the Information Technology of his school. Jake is originally from Montreal, Canada. He has spent most of his life living in France and Germany before moving three years ago to Philadelphia to attend PBU. In the next couple of years, he hopes to join McGill University to earn an MBA. Jake is grateful for the opportunity to join the WTCGP team to learn most about international trade. He would like to use his international background, education and experience to assist non-profit organizations.
Having done her first internship at the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia in spring 2007, Ayla Brooks joined the WTCGP again as a research intern to work part time in spring of this year. Ayla is a graduating senior from Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ). She will receive her bachelor of arts degree in economics with a concentration in international studies and a double minor in Spanish and business this May. After graduation she plans to volunteer in Gambia, one of the smallest countries in West Africa, for a year and then return to the U.S. to start a graduate program. When asked why she decided to return to the WTCGP Internship Program, Ayla replied: “My first experience with the WTCGP was great, I learned a lot and met many new people. This is an organization that is committed to help local companies penetrate and prosper in the global arena. I feel that these services are very important and I’m glad to play a small role in it! I appreciate the opportunity that I have been given to grow and learn more about this organization.”
