FEATURED STORY

Final Countdown to Fifth WTC Day Dinner

You are cordially invited to the Fifth Annual World Trade Center Day Dinner, an important milestone for our organization. Since receiving its license from the WTCA in 2002, the WTCGP has quickly distinguished itself as one of the local leaders in international trade by providing its members and clients with the best resources to produce world-class results! This year, the WTCGP will recognize international trade achievements of two of its member companies: Kingsbury, Inc. (Pennsylvania) and Gatti Associates (New Jersey). We will also take this opportunity to honor a regional leader in international business. Douglas R. Conant, President and CEO of Campbell Soup Company, will receive the 2007 World Trade Centers Day Dinner award for creating an exemplary marketing strategy and committing necessary resources to international operations in both emerging and established markets.

Join the WTCGP on June 7, 2007 as we celebrate the World Trade Centers Day, recognize our honorees and support the WTCA's mission of honoring peace, stability and economic development through trade!

New Business Opportunities in Greece

In keeping with our motto “It’s a big world out there … Prosper in it!” the WTCGP is currently preparing a discovery mission to Greece and Cyprus. From June 23 to July 1, 2007, local companies accompanied by the highly-experienced WTCGP staff will visit Greece and Cyprus as part of the “Trade with Emerging Eastern European Markets” program.

In 2006, U.S. exports to Greece amounted to nearly $1.6 billion, over 30% more than in 2005. For 2007, the U.S. Foreign and Commercial Service and the U.S. Department of State identify the following industries as “leading sectors for U.S. export and investment”: defense products, telecommunication services, renewable energy, medical equipment, material handling equipment, environmental engineering services, tourism infrastructure development and others.

Increased Opportunities in European Emerging Markets

Our “Emerging Eastern European Markets” program continues to create new trade opportunities for regional companies. We are currently working on a trade mission to Eastern Europe and two roundtables to improve companies’ awareness of the opportunities in those markets. We continue to provide research, market selection and preparation, development of trading partners, and one-on-one trade consulting for the participants.
