Guy Tozzoli Celebrates WTCGP's 2nd Anniversary The visionary who built the twin towers in New York, and the founder and president of the World Trade Centers Association, described his 9/11 experiences to more than 150 guests at the Pyramid Club on November 8, 2004. The occasion marked the 2nd anniversary of the WTCGP, a licensed and certified member of the WTCA. Mr. Tozzoli is a three-time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, including in 2004. ![]() |

South American Overseas Reps Present Seminars, Meet with NJ and PA Companies Understanding the cultural dynamics and economic needs of overseas markets is an ongoing need for international traders. In addition, making contact with the right potential partners to enter those markets is also important. For these reasons, the WTCGP recently held two events combining informative seminars and one-on-one interviews involving overseas representatives.
Approximately 20 executives from area companies already doing business in China listened attentively across 12 time zones as two overseas contacts in Shanghai provided invaluable advice and answered their questions.
November Networking Breakfast Held in Chester County On November 18th, the WTCGP and the Chester County Economic Development Council co-sponsored one of its ongoing series of “Breakfasts Around the Region.” The program entitled “Foreign and Domestic Policy in the Wake of the 2004 Election” was presented by Dr. Marie Gottschalk, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and Chair of the Graduate Program. Forty-four people were in attendance. Dr. Gottschalk lent historic perspective on events in the Middle East and expressed apprehension over the significant current account trade deficit and its impact in light of the increasing cost of the Iraq war. The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia was pleased to make a recent donation of winter clothing to The Seaman’s Church Institute. We support the valuable work that this organization does for seafarers who, as "migrant workers of the sea," spend extended periods away from their homelands under what are oftentimes difficult and dangerous working conditions aboard ship.
On the International Trade Front On November 17, 2004 Australia and the United States exchanged notes in Washington DC accepting each others' implementation processes for the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement and agreeing to bring into force on January 1, 2005. http://www.dfat.gov.au/trade/negotiations/us.html |
