Philadelphia International Showcase Reception Brings Together Business Leaders, Government Representatives, and Trade Specialists

PHILADELPHIA– The region’s leading international business reception and networking event, the Philadelphia International Showcase, will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Wachovia’s Main Bank Lobby, located at 123 South Broad Street in Philadelphia. This signature event of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) brings together business and government leaders to celebrate the region's growing global reach.

Senator Andrew E. Dinniman, State Senator (Chester & Montgomery), Co-Chair, Pennsylvania International Commerce Caucus, will be the keynote speaker and will introduce the Pennsylvania International Commerce Caucus. The Caucus was created to establish relationships and exchanges with Pennsylvania businesses, international markets, the general public and policymakers advancing understanding and the important role of international commerce in Pennsylvania.

Additional speakers include Hugh Long, Regional President, Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company and Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development Deputy Secretary, Wilfred Muskens.

This event is the culmination of Pennsylvania's International Week, where twenty-two of Pennsylvania's Authorized International Trade Representatives come to the region to conduct one-on-one meetings with companies on specific market opportunities. Representatives will be present from the Arab Gulf, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scandinavia, Slovakia, South Africa, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Yemen.
