WTCGP President Linda Conlin and Vice President Dino Ramos discuss trading with Cuba in an interview by Diane Mustrull. From Philly.com "There are substantial hurdles to clear before any U.S. business can count on trade with Cuba, noted officials at the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit that has helped companies in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey generate more than $1 billion in export sales since its creation in 2002. WTCGP was highlighted in the Philadelphia Business Journal, along with the Economy League for our Global Cities Initiative Program, a program that will boost global trade and investment, forge partnerships between U.S. and international metropolitan areas, and advocate for state and national policy changes by developing and implementing regional strategies. From Philadelphia Business Journal: "'Greater Philadelphia has excellent core assets for exporting — advanced manufacturing and services clusters; a skilled workforce; strong air, port, and rail connections; and capable support organizations — yet we lag behind competitor regions on key export indicators,' Steve Wray, executive director of the Economy League, said in a statement. 'Now is the perfect time to take a closer look at how we're performing and advance shared strategies to take our region's export activity to the next level.'"
