Description
The WTCGP invites you to join us for the March CEOs' China Operations Club meeting. This roundtable will focus on various aspects of Chinese vendors and sourcing issues as experienced by sports product distribution company, DMI Sports. DMI began in 1970's as a manufacturer of professional quality sport equipment and was a dominant force in this market niche. In 2002 the company itself and through it acquisitions reached the milestones of having sold more than four million sets of one product line and over two million sets of two other products and has expanded operations since then.

The presenting company's President will discuss his 20 years experience regarding sourcing and managing Asian vendors. Participants will learn about the rationale leading the company to set up Chinese supply chain operations and the process and challenges met along the way to establishing and running today's Chinese business operations. The discussion will include insight into many aspects of Chinese partner issues (sourcing startup; finding and qualifying vendors; contracts; legal dealings) along with missteps and adaptations in running a China business.

The ensuing Roundtable will present an open forum for all attendees to discuss their current experiences and China-related business challenges. Whether members have their own manufacturing facilities, are contract manufacturing or sourcing from Chinese companies, the roundtable discussion will provide valuable insight for understanding Chinese issues and solutions. The Roundtable can include other pressing issues for group-think discussion.
