More than 50 people gathered on January 19, 2006 at the Delaware River Port Authority for the WTCGP Breakfast Around the Region
"A Passport to the World's Business Culture."
After warm welcoming remarks by John Matheussen, CEO, DRPA, our speakers Terri Morrison, author of "Kiss, Bow or Shake Hands: How to Do Business in 60 Countries," and Joanna Savvides, President, WTCGP, revealed the imperatives of understanding cultural differences when doing business internationally. Ms. Morrison explored, among others, such issues as the concept of personal space and appropriate forms of greetings in various cultures; while Ms. Savvides focused on the importance of being open to cultural diversity in the new global business community. After the presentations, our experts F. William Bogle, Chief Operating Officer, Genesis Machinery Products, and Dino Ramos, WTCGP International Trade Specialist, shared their real life anecdotes and experiences with the attendees.
