Pursuant to research by the international trade specialist for New Jersey, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia awarded PortaScience an International Trade Assistance Grant to participate in a trade show, the New Zealand Agricultural Fieldays, in Hamilton, New Zealand, June 2005. This was a perfect program for PortaScience, as this show with over 115,000 visitors is the premier agribusiness event in the southern hemisphere. The company's objective was to launch its PortaSCC® milk test, an on-farm somatic cell test for sub-clinical mastitis screening in the dairy herd, in New Zealand and Australia. As a result of PortaScience's attendance at the show, the company has identified potential distributors and already sold its product in both markets. It is currently working with many distributors around the world and preparing to enter the Mexican market.
