Showcase2007

On the evening of Tuesday, September 18, the WTCGP along with Center City Proprietors Association and the Philadelphia Business Journal held Philadelphia International Showcase 2007. This networking reception, which was held at the Wachovia Bank on South Broad Street, was scheduled to coincide with Pennsylvania International Week (PIW). Among the nearly 170 people in attendance were 23 Pennsylvania Authorized Trade Representatives, who were in Philadelphia for the PIW meetings and appointments, and representatives of the largest foreign-owned companies in the region. This year's program was sponsored by: Bombardier Aerospace Flexjet, Consulate of Canada, Continental Airlines, Flaster/Greenberg, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Wachovia, and Yuengling Brewery.


Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Community and Economic Development, Dennis Yablonsky, provided a brief overview of the region's economic development.	Hugh Long of Wachovia Bank, one of the event's keynote speakers .

The evening’s ceremonies commenced with a welcome by the WTCGP president, Joanna Savvides.	Presented by Bernard Dagenais, of the Philadelphia Business Journal, were the Top 25 Foreign Employers in the Region.
