Q: What is the WTCGP Latin American Trade Development Program?

A: The mission of the WTCGP Latin American Trade Development Program, funded in part by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, is to increase the number of Southeastern Pennsylvania companies exporting their products and services to Latin American Markets. The WTCGP will implement the LATD Program in five stages: participant selection; market research, selection and entry strategy; education and training; trade mission and trade shows; and follow-up.

Q: Who is eligible to participate in the WTCGP Latin American Trade Development Program (LATD)?

A: Small and medium-sized Pennsylvania companies in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Q: What industries does the WTCGP LATD Program focus on?

A: Our targeted industries are:

• Aerospace
• Agribusiness goods and services
• Construction equipment and supplies
• Consumer goods
• Education and training
• Energy equipment and supplies (electric power, oil & gas and more)
• Industrial equipment and supplies
• Information technology
• Laboratory instrumentation and medical equipment and supplies
• Metal manufacturing
• Pharmaceutical and healthcare/biotechnology
• Processed foods
• Telecommunication: technology, equipment, supplies and services
• Textile and apparel
• Transportation (equipment, supplies, services)

Q: How can I participate in the Program?
A: The WTCGP is seeking a minimum of 30 companies to participate in the Program. These businesses are to be chosen through an export-readiness assessment process. Q: How will companies benefit from the WTCGP LATD Program?

A: With the assistance of the WTCGP, the participating companies will select the best markets for their products through customized research and in-country support. A comprehensive training program will educate LATDP participants on legal issues, transportation, documentation, cultural and language differences, and more. As part of the LATD Program, the WTCGP can offer the following services to the participating companies:
