WTCGP CEOs' China Operations Club "Navigating the Chinese Bureaucratic Maze" - April 11, 2007
The April WTCGP CEOs' China Operations Club (COC) meeting focused on new environmental regulatory issues and maneuvering through the Chinese bureaucracy. Specifically, participants discussed the new Chinese Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) laws which require foreign companies to change labeling on certain products and reduce or eliminate certain substances/material in their products. This month's executive roundtable discussion also addressed members' question on many issues related to navigating China's bureaucratic maze: paperwork filings, legal requirements and enhancing relations with regulatory agencies for the current issues with new environmental standards, expanding the scope of one's business, immigration and labor issues. The April's COC meetings was hosted by the law offices of White and Williams, LLP.
